অল্পের জন্য বড়সড় রেল দুর্ঘটনা থেকে রক্ষা পেল লোহিত এক্সপ্রেস।

Bengal Live রায়গঞ্জ: বড়সড় ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনা থেকে রক্ষা পেলে গুয়াহাটি- জম্মু-কাশ্মীর লোহিত এক্সপ্রেস। মঙ্গলবার বিকেল সাড়ে চারটা নাগাদ ডালখোলার লাহাসারা এলাকায় চলন্ত ট্রেন থেকে প্রায় সাতটি বগি খুলে যায়। প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার ইঞ্জিন ছুটে যাওয়ার পর বিষয়টি বোধগম্য হলে ইঞ্জিন দাঁড়ায়। ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে ব্যাপক আতঙ্ক দেখা যায় যাত্রীদের মধ্যে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা ভীড় করেন এলাকায়। রেল পুলিশ সহ রেলের কর্তারা খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছায়।

রেল সূত্রে খবর, গুয়াহাটি থেকে জম্মু-কাশ্মীরের দিকে যাচ্ছিল লোহিত এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনটি। এদিন বিকেল নাগাদ ডালখোলা ও সূর্যকুমারের মাঝে লাহাসারা নামক এলাকায় ট্রেনের পেছনের দিক বগি খুলে যায়। বগি সমেত ইঞ্জিন সামনে চলে যায় পেছনে ৭ টি বগি দাঁড়িয়ে পরে। প্রায় ৫০০ মিটার যাওয়ার পরে ট্রনটি দাঁড় করান হয়। ঘটনায় কোনও যাত্রীর ক্ষতি হয়নি বলেই জানা গেছে।

উত্তর-পূর্ব সীমান্ত রেলের মুখ্য জনসংযোগ আধিকারিক জানান, কয়েককটি বগি ইঞ্জিনের অংশ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়েছিল। তবে ঘটনায় কেউ হতাহত হয়নি। ২৫ মিনিটের মধ্যে বিচ্ছিন্ন বগিগুলি পুনরায় যুক্ত করে ৪ টা ৫৫ মিনিটে ট্রেনটি গন্তব্যে যাত্রা করে।
