জানা গেছে, এই দুই পাচারকারীর উপর বেশ কিছুদিন ধরেই নজর ছিল তদন্তকারীদের। মঙ্গলবার দুই পাচারকারী বাসস্ট্যান্ড এলাকায় পাচারের উদ্দেশ্যে নিয়ে পৌঁছলেই র‌্যাপিড রেসপন্স ফোর্স-র হাতে ধরা পড়ে যায় ওই দুই পাচারকারী। তাদের কাছ থেকে উদ্ধার হয়েছে ৩৫০ মিলি লিটার সাপের তেল, ৪ টুকরো হরিণের চামড়া, এবং তিন টুকরো হরিণের শিং। ধৃত দুজনকেই শিলিগুড়ির মহকুমা আদালতে পেশ করা হবে।
