Bengal Live মালদাঃ লোহার রড দিয়ে প্রহার করে এক হস্তশিল্পীকে পিটিয়ে খুন করার অভিযোগ উঠল মালদায়। ঘটনায় চাঞ্চল্য পূরাতন মালদা পুরসভার ৫ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের শর্বরী এলাকায়। মৃত ওই শিল্পীর নাম ভূপাল প্রামাণীক। এই ঘটনায় মালদা থানার পুলিশ মূল অভিযুক্ত মিলন দাস সহ মোট তিন জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে।
জানা গেছে, পেশায় একজন হস্তশিল্পী ছিলেন ভূপাল প্রামাণিক। তার বিরুদ্ধে বিবাহ-বহির্ভূত সম্পর্কে লিপ্ত থাকার অভিযোগ উঠেছিল। সেই অভিযোগের ভিত্তিত্বে বেশকিছু দিন জেলও খাটতে হয় ভূপাল বাবুকে।
ভূপাল বাবুর স্ত্রীর অভিযোগ, সোমবার সন্ধ্যেবেলায় ৮-১০ জন লোক হাতে লোহার রড ও বাঁশ নিয়ে তাঁর বাড়িতে ঢোকে এবং তাঁর স্বামীকে পিটিয়ে খুন করে। সেই সময় চিৎকার করে ডাকলেও কোন প্রতিবেশী ছুটে আসেন নি তাদের বাঁচাতে বলে জানিয়েছেন ভূপাল বাবুর স্ত্রী।
পুলিশ ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে। এদিকে খুনের ঘটনার সাথে যুক্তদের খোঁজ শুরু করেছে পুলিশ। এলাকায় পুলিশ পিকেটও বসানো হয়েছে।
